We Build Community

A core element of our mission to support musical arts in Siskiyou County is the belief we can enhance the quality of life in our rural area by building community and fostering connections through production of live music events and workshops.

An equally important element is the creation of local business opportunities, supportive infrastructure and facilities that attract touring musicians to our community.

We Support Artists

The streaming environment and rising travel costs have created unprecedented challenges for musicians to make a sustainable living. Our mission is to provide opportunities for musicians to showcase their talents, receive fair payment and support direct sales of their products to their audience.

We are proud that the McCloud River Music Series is well-known within the music community for supporting artists with generous hospitality. Whenever possible, we share with our musicians the extraordinary beauty and recreational opportunities found in  our mountain community.

She is a sought-after recording producer and an equally skilled teacher and mentor. She performs with her crack band, the Right Hands as well as in duo settings with Nina Gerber and others.

To ask how Laurie Lewis’s music is relevant in this day and age, in the broader folk, Americana, and bluegrass scenes as a whole, would be similar to asking how a brick in a home’s foundation is relevant to its structure. Her influence, her reach and her artistic intent are quiet stalwarts on which so much has been built.
